Amlin bolsters specie team
Specialist insurer Amlin has announced the appointment of James Farquhar to post of leading class underwriter, Specie.
In his new position Farquhar will be tasked with collaborating with Class Underwriter Rod Little to build up the firm’s account.
Prior to joining Amlin he worked for Catlin in a ten year stint as a specie underwriter and, more recently, Marine Business Group Leader.
Previously he worked for Lloyd-Roberts (syndicate 55) as a class underwriter with responsibility for the specie account.
He brings a quarter of a century of experience to his new post, and began his lengthy career as a broker with Lander Eberli Shorter Ltd.
Amlin’s Simon Beale has expressed his delight at Farquhar’s appointment, welcoming his broad experience and strong expertise.
